Recovering Creativity. Creatively Recovering.

  • Sparrow Artspace 36 4 Street Northeast Calgary, AB, T2E 3R7 Canada (map)

Each Creative Recovery workshop will begin with a short session of physical movement to release body energy followed by meditation to ground the mind and open the flows for the creative process to flourish. Each participant is encouraged to follow their inner voice and explore their own personal journey through the workshop. I create a safe environment where participants are free to take the ‘instructions’ into their own comfort zones.

It is encouraged that participants attend all three sessions as they are designed in a chronological sequence for maximum Creative Recovery.

Cost: $10

Starting with a movement session and a short guided meditation, participants will travel through an exploration of perceived assumptions with their underlying but unspoken, limiting beliefs which curate our creative selves. From the teachings of Bessel Van Der Kolk M.D. and the study of The Body Keeps the Score this creative (hands on workshop) works with the use of paper dolls to create an image of the life - journey and story of our physical bodies.

Participants are encouraged to bring a yoga mat, cushion, blanket for comfort during the ‘body scan’ guided meditation before the creative workshop.
