Regalia Making Workshop

Some sewing experience required, beginners to regalia-making. This workshop is primarily for Indigenous folx or non-Indigenous who are making regalia for an Indigenous child or family member

Tickets are available on Eventbrite by donation starting at $1 (see below). Donations go to Sparrow Arts Society, a not-for-profit organization, which will go towards more workshops by the wasakamapiwak collective. Is there a piece of regalia you have been wanting to make but not feeling sure about those crucial first steps? Get started under the guidance of Faith Starlight. Faith is part of the Wasakamapiwak collective of 11 Indigenous artists living and working in Treaty 7 territory.

Faith Starlight is a Cree and Stoney Nakoda designer and artist, from Whitefish lake Atikameg, who specializes in Indigenous cultural wears. Contemporary and traditional, wearable and Indigenous fashionable. All her work is an expression of color and designs, "life is a powwow, so make a grand entry".
