Calming Mandala Workshop

  • Sparrow Artspace 36 4 Street Northeast Calgary, AB, T2E 3R7 Canada (map)

Join artist Sneha Kandhari for a relaxing afternoon workshop on Mandala making to experience a calm and mindful state to explore your inner world.  Mandala making is a journey to your core, that which leaves you feeling enriched and peaceful. A journey to your inner self through the layers of drawing patterns. Since the circle can represent a safe and contained space, Mandalas have been found to help those suffering from anxiety and stress disorders to heal, achieve mindfulness and focus attention better. Creating artwork inside the circle can help silence a person's inner critic and induce a calm, meditative state.

Sneha Kandhari is a social media marketing professional with over 5 years of experience in the industry.  Art, reading, and writing have been her safe havens since she was a child.

“Years of a hectic corporate life had me feeling creatively unfulfilled and disconnected from my inner core. Additionally, the heightened chaos of the pandemic brought Art back into my life in the form of Mandalas which became my vehicle to process the heavy emotions, and overcome the anxiety, stress, and uncertainty faced during the peak of Covid. Mandalas are a meditative Art form which aims to induce calm, centering and healing in the individual. It transformed my life forever. Through the deeply moving impact of this Art form, I vowed to spread the healing effects to others, make an impact and facilitate creative expression in others through this calming art therapy.”
