Did you know that, according to research, children under 5 years of age are creative geniuses? Whether you have grown up believing that you are creative, or believing that you are not, this playful art workshop encourages you to let go of judgement and tap into your inner child - the one who didn’t question if they were creative and simply created to have fun and to communicate. With a sense of wonder and some childhood memories in tow, join us for a workshop that will connect you with others through playful arts and crafts.

All ages welcome. No art experience necessary. Art materials provided but feel free to bring some of your own that bring childhood to mind: print-outs/magazine cut-outs, scrap material, buttons, shells, pebbles, etc.

Free by donation to the Women’s Centre of Calgary.

Kim Webb is a designer, expressive art facilitator and curator of the See me. Hear me. Expressive Art Show hosted by Sparrow in May 2023. She believes that, like yoga and meditation, creativity can be used as a powerful tool to improve overall well-being. Kim is passionate about bringing awareness to the healing power of the arts and runs an art and wellness centre called Canopy Studios.
